My blog is a range of home decor, thrifty ideas, family, adoption and faith. I am a stay at home mom to 3 kiddos. My daughter is 8 and my boys are 5 and 4. Our youngest was adopted from India in 2009 so I have a real passion for orphan care and other adoptive families.

In fact, a few years ago my husband and I started (along with 2 other couples) a ministry designed to raise money for families willing to adopt (the price tag can just be ridiculous sometimes!). You can read more about Sparrow Ministries {here}. But back to applestone drive...  It's a little quiet around the blog this summer as we are in the process of moving back to our home in St. Louis. (We moved temporarily down to San Antonio for 14 months to be near family in need). But I am anxious to get home and feature some more transformations of my home on Applestone Drive! Guest Blogger: Ma Nouvelle Mode

I am so happy to be here today! I have truly loved getting to know Yvette through this blogging world and am so thankful she is allowing us to share today.  


So you might be wondering who I am and why I am here.  Well my name is Natalia and I blog over at Ma Nouvelle Mode with my friend Christie.  I live in France (yes, the country) and Christie is in Southern California and we come together to blog about beauty, fashion, travel, and more.  Don't you love the internet?  This week over at our place, we are re-launching our blog with a new design, move to Worpress (from blogger), and we are making a big deal about it!  So if you don't mind, I am gonna take a few minutes to tell you a bit about our blog!

Our mission at Ma Nouvelle Mode is to encourage, motivate and inspire women of all walks of life to discover {or rediscover} their own fabulous panache.  We want to see women build the confidence to embrace who they are through the modes of fashion, beauty, home décor, travel and other creative passions.  Here we are building a community of supportive women who cheer each other on throughout it all.

How do we work our magic?  With fashion we share ideas of how to shop your closet, build a wardrobe on a limited budget, and find new ways to style old items.  We like to have photo shoots featuring different styles and eras so there is something for everyone.  In the beauty department we have a plethora of tutorials from smoky eyes to red lips to help our readers gain the confidence to be able to create these looks themselves.  We love sharing do-it-yourself techniques for the home to inspire to create a space that fits the style and feel of our readers.  We both have traveled quite a bit, with and without our kids and we love to share our stories and photos.  We also include plenty of recipes for the culinary inclined.
