The 'Spring is Here' Multi-Color Necklace

I'm on a stay-cation this week while my cousins are visiting from Florida.  We're having such a good time, that I am going to be extremely homesick when they go home.  :(

Everyone is sleeping in a little today, so I thought I would pop in and share a necklace I designed for my friend Jeanie on her birthday.

I chose five beads in my favorite colors and set them on a copper colored chain.

I love how this necklace can give a pop of color to any outfit!

I'm glad to say that Jeanie loved her gift!  I loved making it for her!

I will post photos of the matching earrings soon.  Stay tuned!!!

Dual Strand Necklace in Turquoise

Happy Monday, y'all!  I'm so excited to share this next project with you!

I wanted to create something cute that can be worn with anything from a maxi dress to a tank top and shorts. I've been tossing around the idea of a dual strand necklace for awhile, but I didn't want it to be too chunky.  I found some round jasper beads dyed turquoise and I knew they would be perfect for what I had in mind.

The completed necklace is 18.5 inches long, set on a silver colored chain with a lobster clasp.

There are twenty-two 8 mm beads on this dual strand necklace.

The beads are set on wire, so you can adjust the drop of the arc.

I'm also working on a set of matching earrings, similar to the Earth Tone Earrings.

{pink} Fabric Button Pendants

Yesterday I showed you a pink boho cuff bracelet that is being raffled off in Florida at a breast cancer research event.  Here are the matching Fabric Button Pendant necklaces.

These come with a 24" ball chain that can be easily shortened with a pair of scissors or small pliers.

The buttons measure 1.5" and the pendants come in an organza bag.

Although this set is accounted for, I can easily recreate it using the same or any fabric of your choosing.

Pop on over to my Etsy shop for even more Button Pendant options (in stock pendants are currently on sale for just $8!)

Boho Cuff Bracelet {for a cure}

I know I posted a cuff bracelet last week, but I just had to share my newest one.

I designed this one for my cousin-in-law Amy to raffle off at a breast cancer research event in Florida. I wanted to make something that was "pink", but also fashionable.

I love its bohemian, easy breezy appeal.  I wanted it to look hand made.  I wanted the stitching to show. I wanted it to be perfectly imperfect.  Most of all, I want the woman who wears it to feel relaxed and stylish and remember that someone out there made this piece with love and hope for a cure.

Rag Ribbon Table Skirt

Another item that I created for my mother-in-law's Vintage Garden Tea Party last year was this Rag Ribbon Table Skirt:

Over the course of three months I collected fabric from the remnant bins at my local fabric shops and picked up some vintage fabrics at an antique mall in order to create these skirts.

I used everything from quilting cottons to home decor fabrics.  I cut them into two inch strips and sewed a one inch seam along the top of each strip, leaving the other edges raw..  It took FOREVER (and wasn't the most affordable of DIY projects), but the results were well worth it.

They were such a hit, that I was loaning them out for a baby shower just days later!  I even used them to spice up my table at my first trunk show!

These table skirts can be made in any color combination to suit any theme.

The Vintage Dish Dessert Tower

A couple of years ago I planned a surprise birthday party for my mother-in-law.  The theme was Vintage Garden Tea Party. Planning this event got my "hands-on" creative juices flowing.  Up until then, I expressed most creativity through writing.

One of my favorite projects that I created for this party was a serving platter made from vintage plates and tea cups.

The original "Vintage Dish"

It was such a hit that I made some to sell at Aqua Seventy6's very first trunk show.

Here are a few others:

These serving towers dress up any dessert table.  I've used mine at birthday parties, baby showers, holidays and even at an informal get together.

The only drawback is that they're pretty heavy and don't ship well.  However, I'd be happy to create one for anyone in the Richmond, VA area.  Email me at the address above for pricing information.

{Spring} Fabric Cuff Bracelet

Last year I made this fabric cuff bracelet featuring a vintage button for a client in Florida:

This is one of those projects I almost couldn't bear to part with.  I always intended to make myself a matching one, but then came the winter, and long sleeves and coats wouldn't do it justice.

Today, my cousin from Florida contacted me about making a few items to raffle at a breast cancer walk in which she participates.  I was stoked when she wanted a similar cuff, because now I KNOW I will finally make one for myself.  As soon as her items are up, I will post them here for you to see.

In the meantime, if you are interested in ordering something similar for yourself, email me using the link above, or visit my Facebook page for more ideas.

Beaded Charm Necklace

I am so lucky to have such fabulous friends.  Even though most of them are far away, they are always in my heart.  My friend MC (two initials, because I also have close friends MB, MP, and MJ) has been one of my greatest business supporters over the last year.  I'm pretty sure she owns at least one of each item I make.

One Leap Day she took advantage of my 29% off coupon and picked up a cute wristlet from my shop.  I wanted to do a little something for her as a special thank you, so I created a little beaded charm necklace with her in mind.

I love the combination of the aqua beads with the copper chain.

I was thrilled when the beautiful MC emailed to tell me that she LOVED her little gift!  I means so much to me to be able to create something special for the wonderful people in my life.

Lemon-Lime

Yesterday my daughter had her spring portraits at school. She's pretty adventurous with her wardrobe (although you wouldn't know it since moving to VA---the kid lives in sweatshirts and skinny jeans!)  But, we are both yearning for warmer temperatures, so we decided to conjure up some spring with a lemon-lime inspired outfit.

Guess what?!  It worked!  We got a high of 73!  (Let's not discuss the pending flurries on Monday!)

I must confess, the Polyvore set came AFTER we put together the actual outfit, but it was such a cute combination of colors, I think anyone can pull it off this spring!

I used a left over bead from Turquoise and Coral for her necklace and set it on a copper colored chain.

Unfortunately it's back down in 50s again today and all that up and down has gotten the best of us.  The kiddos (and mommy) are under the weather today and staying home from school.

Aqua and Red

I had such a great response to last week's Turquoise and Coral necklace!  Thank you!

This week I decided to continue with a similar color palette for a new necklace, but use a daintier chain.  Introducing Aqua and Red:

Again, these can be made in just about any length.  The version shown above is about 18".

Are you a fan of Aqua Seventy6 on Facebook?  If not, you are totally missing out.  Every day I post an item (or two) for sale with FREE SHIPPING prior to listing in my etsy shop. Click here for more info!
